Brown flaxseeds contain almost 50% oil (60% of which are omega-3 fatty acids). Brown flaxseed contains considerable amounts of protein and fat and helps to accelerate metabolism. The taste of brown flaxseed resembles that of a nut - it has a distinctive, strong aroma.

Usage:

Pour 1 tablespoon of seeds with 1 cup of boiling water and let steep for 20 minutes, then strain. Drink 3-4 times daily. Whole seeds can be added to warm dishes, ground in salads.
