DESCRIPTION

as a result of drying and grinding the pods of the carob tree. Colloquially it is called locust bean flour. The product is an excellent substitute for cocoa and chocolate. Carob is recommended in children's diets because, unlike cocoa, it does not contain caffeine.

Use:

Cocoa substitutes (must be halved as much as cocoa due to naturally occurring sugars) and chocolate. Used for making cakes, cookies and PREPARING desserts. The powder should be gradually introduced into the diet.
