What is Hibiscus?
Hibiscus (Chinese Rose) is actually Ketmia, although in Poland the Latin name Hibiscus is much more widespread. Hibiscus Sabdariffa, also known as Ketmia or Sudan mallow, is an ornamental plant with numerous health-promoting properties, but it is also used in cosmetics and cooking. It is characterized by its high content of anthocyanins, polyphenols, flavonoids, vitamin C, and organic acids.
The role of hibiscus in our body
Hibiscus and its properties have been used for many years in traditional medicine. It is primarily used to cleanse the body of toxins, as it stimulates metabolism while also having a mild laxative and diuretic effect. An additional benefit of this effect is the prevention of water retention in the body.
Additional benefits
Regular consumption of hibiscus tea positively affects normal cholesterol levels and blood pressure in the vessels and has a positive effect on liver function. The vitamin C contained in this plant's composition positively affects blood vessels by strengthening their walls and preventing them from breaking and causing spider veins. Furthermore, vitamin C is known to play an important role in maintaining our body's immunity.
Product composition: 100% hibiscus, raw material of the highest quality.
Country of origin: Poland
Applications in the kitchen
Hibiscus also has many applications in the kitchen. Jams, jellies, seasoning sauces and desserts, or preparing juices and syrups are just a few examples of its use. Hibiscus leaves can also be used in salads or to season meat dishes.
