The Sandflower (Helichrysum arenarium) has a long tradition in European
ethnobotany as a plant attributed with positive effects, among others, on liver and gallbladder health.
Helichrysum arenarium has a long tradition in European ethnobotany. It is a perennial herbaceous plant
from the Asteraceae family, which grows wild in Europe and Central Asia.
Central Asia. The origin of the Latin name of the sand blanket derives from the Greek
words helios - "sun" and chrysos - "gold". This refers to the
golden shiny color of the plant's inflorescence.

The main biologically active compounds of the plant are
flavonoids and flavanones, but also other compounds such as carotenoids. However,
it is primarily the presence of flavonoids that contributes to the herb's positive properties
