Gray soap is a mixture of potassium salts, higher carboxylic acids, glycerin, citric acid, sodium chloride, and others.

Unlike sodium soaps, it contains no artificial colorants or fragrances, which means allergies caused by gray soap occur much less frequently than with other hygiene products. The scent of gray soap is barely noticeable. It is recommended by dermatologists for washing and cleansing, especially for people with skin prone to irritation and oiliness as well as for allergy sufferers. It contains glycerin, which gently moisturizes the skin. It does not damage washed laundry and at the same time effectively removes dirt. It is environmentally friendly. Due to its gentle effect, it is often recommended for children. It has disinfectant and antibacterial properties.
