STORY

The history of the argan tree dates back to the time of the indigenous Barber peoples of Chamito-Semitic origin linked to the northern part of Africa and the Sahara. Referred to as the tree of life by the indigenous people, the argan tree played a major role in the existence of humans and animals living in the difficult-to-survive desert climate. However, the most valuable asset of this tree was the argan oil, which was extracted over the centuries and used primarily as food and as natural cosmetics for care purposes.

A curiosity about the argan tree and oil obtained from it is the fact that argan trees live an average of 150-200 years. The only region where we can meet them is Morocco. The growing areas have been included in the list of UNESCO reserves. You have to wait about half a century for the first harvest. According to tradition, Moroccan women are involved in the pressing of argan oil. Oil extraction is very complicated and time-consuming. To get 1 liter of oil you need to use about 30 kg of fruit.
