Welche Pasta ist die gesündeste?

The wide variety of options for well-known products today allows you to freely search for interesting new products. Thanks to this, you don't have to rely solely on high-calorie pasta—you can choose from egg-free products that also contain very high-quality minerals and nutrients—or boldly reach for gluten-free options. With so many options available on the market, it can sometimes be difficult to find one. So, which pasta is the healthiest?

Various types of pasta

Pastas differ not only in shape, but also in their content, which often colors a particular type of this food additive in a specific way. The healthiest pasta varieties include:

  • Spelt - this type of pasta is made from a plant similar to wheat, namely spelt. Although it contains gluten, it instead has a rich range of healthy additives. Spelt is characterized by a much higher protein content than wheat and contains large amounts of iron, zinc, and copper. Thanks to this, spelt pasta supports the immune system and has a positive effect on the condition of the body's major systems.
  • Buckwheat – This type of pasta is made from buckwheat flour, which is why it has a darker, brown color. It is gluten-free and high in protein and fiber. Buckwheat noodles support the nervous and digestive systems thanks to their magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc content.
  • Rice noodles based on this popular food additive are considered a very easily digestible option, containing no fat but plenty of protein, B vitamins, selenium, manganese, and magnesium. Rice noodles quickly provide a feeling of satiety and support the digestive system.
  • Chickpeas – this pasta variety is made from a protein-rich legume with a delicate flavor. Chickpeas are known as an effective meat substitute and a source of B vitamins and many microelements such as potassium, zinc, and phosphorus. Chickpea pasta supports immunity and the appearance of skin and nails.

Which pasta has the fewest calories?

Which pasta has the fewest calories? This is a question many healthy lifestyle and sensible diet enthusiasts ask themselves. Suggestions like classic pasta with egg must be rejected immediately. It's worth looking for healthier and lower-calorie options. Chickpea pasta is the frontrunner in this case, as it contains the fewest calories among so-called healthy pastas. Incorporating it into your diet can be a very sensible step, and not just for those looking to lose a few pounds.

The method of preparation is crucial

Which pasta should you choose when dieting? Even the healthiest pasta can be ruined by the wrong additives. High-calorie meats, fatty sauces, or cheese definitely alter the lightness of pasta and make it difficult to digest. Therefore, it's worth opting for vegetables, herbs, or low-fat cheeses.

It's also important not to pour cold water over the pasta after cooking, as this will wash away the most valuable layer, which contains a lot of fiber. It also loses its properties, as the sauce won't stick to the pasta without its sticky, starchy layer. If you don't have gluten problems, it's worth choosing spelt pasta, but if you prefer a gluten-free diet, buckwheat and chickpea pasta will be useful in the kitchen.
