Acidum caprylicum is a saturated fatty acid. It is found in vegetable fats (coconut, palm) and animal fats (from lat. capro - goat, e.g. in the reserve fat (tallow) of goats and sheep, in the milk fat of rabbits, goats and chamois). It became popular as a dietary supplement before Dr. William Crook, author of the popular book The Yeast Connection.
