Colfarm Sodium Butyrate is a food for special medical purposes for adults.
Contains sodium butyrate in the form of micropellets with extended release of the active substance, encapsulated in acid-resistant cellulose capsules.
The butyric acid contained in the capsules is a short-chain fatty acid; it is an energy substrate for the intestinal epithelium and has a positive effect on the digestive tract.

Indicated for dietary treatment of the following conditions:
Irritable bowel syndrome
Abdominal pain and bloating
Acute diarrhea of various causes
Persistent constipation
Inflammatory bowel diseases
Disturbed intestinal flora, e.g. during and after antibiotic therapy.

Recommended use:
Adults: take 1 capsule orally once daily.
The capsule should be swallowed whole with lukewarm or cold water with a meal.

Warnings and precautions:
should be taken under medical supervision. The duration of use should be agreed with a doctor.
The product is not intended for parenteral use.
The product is not a complete food. It is not suitable as the sole source of nutrition.
Do not use if there is no medical indication for taking the product.
Do not use in children and persons with swallowing disorders or difficulties.
If allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the product components, discontinue use.
Store at a temperature below 25°C.
Keep out of reach of small children.
Protect from moisture.
