Pure fish oils have a high concentration of polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids, so NFO® OMEGA-3 KIDS CHEWABLE SOFTGELS contain omega-3 acids in the highest concentration available on the market.

Ingredients: fish oil (from tuna), natural tutti-frutti flavor, d-a tocopherols, cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), sucralose, gelatin capsule, glycerin.

The quality of NFO omega-3 acid products is determined by:

1. The origin of the raw material: NFO does not use external raw material sources, only a known and reliable one - the headquarters of NFO INTERNATIONAL AS is located in Trondheim - the center of Norwegian aquaculture and fisheries as well as Norwegian salmon exports. Only fish that occupy a low position in the food chain and contain very low amounts of contaminants such as mercury, dioxins, and PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls) are used in the production of NFO® Omega-3. These chemically resistant substances easily accumulate in living organisms such as fish and belong to the group of substances whose production and use are banned. Nevertheless, they are still used in large quantities. It is estimated that of the approximately 1.5 million tons of PCBs produced worldwide, two-thirds are still in use or in the environment.)


2. Time from catch to the start of oil extraction: the shorter, the better. And why? The shorter the time, the lower the TOTOX parameter (i.e., the degree of oxidation or purity - the lower this parameter, the lower the oxidation level). The TOTOX value of a fish in water is zero. The minimum TOTOX value of fish after catch: 4. The TOTOX value of all NFO products is usually 6 / 6.5 (based on laboratory data), although EU regulations allow a maximum value of 20. How is this possible? NFO's production facilities are located near catch collection points. The finished product can be obtained just a few hours after the fish is caught.


3. Production technology: NFO uses multi-stage purification of raw materials, including a molecular distillation stage that guarantees the highest degree of purification of fish oil from harmful contaminants. Furthermore, the manufacturer NFO INTERNATIONAL AS strictly adheres to Norwegian national and EU regulations on biochemical purity. Production takes place in a Pharmatech AS factory owned by a family member, so production is under own control.


4. Capsule formulation: capsules in a gel shell - their quality is determined by the degree of protection of the oil inside from oxygen; physical-chemical parameters are also important - the content of all polyunsaturated PUFA fatty acids (including omega-3) in an inferior capsule decreases very quickly over time. In NFO capsules, the content does not change its properties during shelf life.
