DESCRIPTION

The preparation contains omega 3-6-9 unsaturated fatty acids in carefully selected proportions. The NOW® product offers a balanced composition of two essential fatty acids (and their derivatives) that are essential for the proper functioning of many bodily functions.
Natural fatty acids are essential for the normal growth and development of human cells and tissues. If the food you eat doesn't contain these acids, it needs to be fortified with them. The essential fatty acids EPA and DHA are normally part of the body cells.
This NOW product offers a balanced composition of two essential fatty acids (and their derivatives) that are essential for many bodily functions: omega-3 oils (flaxseed and canola) and an omega-6 oil (evening primrose and black currant). Oleic acid, in the form of omega-9 oil (from canola and flax), on the other hand, is a monounsaturated fatty acid that, while not considered essential, has beneficial effects on humans.
