Plantago ovata is an inconspicuous plant originating from the Mediterranean coasts. In Poland, it is rather perceived as a weed and occurs wild mainly in wetlands. It is distinguished primarily by its high fiber content, which is crucial for the smooth functioning of our digestive system. Fiber influences intestinal peristalsis, can help reduce 'bad' cholesterol and glucose levels in the blood, also supports weight loss and prevents constipation.
Organic ground psyllium husks form a gel when combined with water. Recommended as a thickening additive for soups and sauces, as well as cocktails, oatmeal, muesli.
