DESCRIPTION
Clay, naturally rich in mineral salts, is a type of soil formed by rock metamorphism. It occurs in larger or smaller sediments and is mostly extracted from open-pit mines. It is considered to be the first natural remedy known to man and has been used for therapeutic purposes for centuries. Clay stands out from other elements because it is both absorbent and adsorbent—that is, it can exchange ingested pollutants and toxins for beneficial minerals. The ultra-aerated Green Clay Clay Cattier , quarried in France in environments protected from any contamination, has been selected for its unmatched quality. The beneficial properties have been enhanced by exposure to the sun. Clay is used to make masks, compresses, and clay water. Absorbent, cleansing and regenerating, the Cattier Ultra-ventilated Green Clay is particularly suitable for the care of combination and oily skin. It absorbs and regulates excess sebum, eliminates toxins and impurities, revitalizes the skin and accelerates cell renewal. It also has antiseptic and softening properties.
PREPARATION
PREPARATION of the clay paste: Pour the green clay into a wooden or glass container and add water, leave for 30 minutes and then mix with a wooden or plastic spatula to obtain a homogeneous paste. Ultra-Aerated Green Clay can be used alone or in combination with essential oils.
Face Mask: Apply a thick layer of clay to the face and neck, avoiding the eye and lip area. Leave on for about 10 minutes, do not let the mask dry on the skin. Rinse with lukewarm water and dry the skin with a cotton towel.
As a wrap: place the clay on a piece of natural fiber and spread it 2-3 cm thick with a non-metallic spatula. Make a clay compress directly in contact with the skin and hold it in place with a bandage, but not too tight. If the compress is applied to an irritated area, place a thin pad of gauze between the clay and the skin. Leave the compress in place for an hour. Remove as much clay as possible when removing, moisten if necessary, then rinse with lukewarm water and dry the skin with a cotton cloth.
PREPARATION Clay Water: Put one to two tablespoons of green clay in a glass, add water and mix wooden or plastic spoons. Allow the clay to settle to the bottom of the glass and use only the resulting clay water.
