Watermelon, also known as cow (Citrullus Schrad.) is a genus of four species of plants in the cucurbitaceae family. Originally from South Africa, it is now cultivated all over the world, including the USA, China, Turkey, Brazil and Iran. Watermelons are plants that like sun and humidity, so they are best adapted to growing in tropical conditions.
Cowon is about 92% water (the English name is Watermelon), making it an excellent thirst quencher and moisturizing. Rich in fiber, antioxidants that help the body fight aging, vitamins - A, B, C and K - and minerals - potassium, iron, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, copper, calcium and selenium - watermelon is an extremely healthy one , a low-calorie snack just in time for those summer afternoons basking in the scorching sun.
Watermelon doesn't need any additives to delight our taste buds, but it works just as well with other fresh fruits or as an addition to dessert.
