Marseille soap is a traditional soap made in Marseille for several centuries. The first mention of it appeared as early as the 14th century. It usually has a fairly large, hard shell. Its main characteristic is that it is produced according to carefully crafted recipes using only vegetable oils, with no artificial flavors, colors, or other harmful additives. This soap is unusually respected among many and has numerous benefits and properties, and its application is not limited to just washing.
Marseille soap and its properties
Since 2011, the Union des Professionnels du Savon de Marseille has ensured that original Marseille soap has always met defined standards, has been of the highest quality and has had traditional compositions, and the plants from which it is made are certified organic. The composition of Marseille soap is very simple. It contains up to 72% vegetable oils. In its production, we use, apart from water and sodium or potassium hydroxide, and sometimes also glycerin. And all this, exclusively natural and harmless ingredients.
Furthermore, it cannot be tested on animals or contain any animal-derived ingredients. Real Marseille soap is completely hypoallergenic, biodegradable, effective, and suitable for very dry and sensitive skin. Interestingly, it's suitable not only for the bathroom, in my daily routine, but also for use throughout the home.
Marseille soap - what is its use?
