Trockenes Haar – Hausmittel zur Verbesserung des Haarzustands

Styled, combed, sprayed with hairspray, mousse, and other styling products, and dried with a dryer. Our hair undergoes various treatments every day to give it a good, neat, and comfortable look. However, all of these activities often contribute to excessive drying out of the ends or even the entire length of the hair. Add to that the fact that we hide our hair under a hat in winter, during cold winds, and in summer, during intense sunlight. Dry hair becomes unsightly, feels uncomfortable, is rough, difficult to style, and in extreme cases, brittle and begins to fall out. How can you treat dry hair at home to enjoy healthy, shiny hair while avoiding a haircut or expensive salon treatments? Here are some proven and effective methods.

Hair oils

Oiling involves applying various types of vegetable oils to the hair. This procedure is best performed in the evening, when you know you won't be leaving the house that day, or on the weekend. Hair can be oiled in several ways. One of these is to use a small amount of oil on your hands and spread it over the entire length of your hair. Protect your hair with the oil, applying it using a bathing cap or a regular bag. Leave the oil on your hair for at least an hour. You can also try leaving it on overnight. After the appropriate amount of time, wash your hair and apply a conditioner or mask.

Another option is "wet" oiling. Pour warm water into a bowl, add a few drops of oil, and then soak your hair in the prepared emulsion. After squeezing out any excess water, put a cap or foil on your head and leave it on for at least an hour. The hair is then washed and conditioned in the traditional way. Targeted hair oiling leaves your hair feeling pleasant, loose, bouncy, and shiny. Different oils are selected for high porosity hair—that is, very damaged, brittle, very dry, and color-treated hair; others for medium porosity hair—that is, slightly weakened hair with split ends; and others for low porosity hair—smooth, healthy, and naturally shiny.

For very brittle hair:

For medium porosity hair, the following is best:

  • Sea buckthorn oil,
  • rapeseed oil,
  • Argan oil,
  • olive oil ,
  • Rice oil.

Low porosity hair is:

  • Coconut oil,
  • linseed oil,
  • Palm oil,
  • Castor oil,
  • cocoa butter,
  • Shea butter .

Chicken egg mask – the way our grandmothers did it

The egg mask is grandma's way to healthy, strong, and shiny hair. Eggs are a rich source of lecithin, folic acid , iron, and sulfur—components that can prevent excessive hair loss. They are also a source of protein with moisturizing and strengthening properties. To prepare a mask for longer hair, you'll need at least two eggs. Beat them in a bowl and add half a tablespoon of honey, a few drops of your favorite oil (argan, grapeseed, or rapeseed), and a few drops of lemon. Apply the thoroughly mixed mixture to your hair and leave it on for about 20-30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. If you want, you can enrich your mask with, for example, half a mashed avocado.

Daily care for dry hair

Dry hair lacks the natural oils that give it softness and shine. This can be due to, among other things:

  • Washing your hair too often and using cosmetics based on artificial ingredients deprive your hair of its natural protective barrier.
  • Too frequent drying – the heat from the dryer, curling iron or straightener dries out the hair even more,
  • excessive sunlight, strong wind, high temperatures, pollution and dust
  • inadequate nutrition, poor in vitamins and microelements, which does not provide the body with nutrients,
  • Coloring treatments with harsh chemicals damage the hair structure, dry out the strands and make styling difficult;
  • Water with high chlorine content.

To avoid over-drying your hair, it's worth limiting drying, straightening, and curling irons as much as possible. If you have no choice but to use a dryer, set the airflow to cool, which helps close the cuticles. If we dream of changing our hair color, we don't act on our own; we go to a trusted, professional hair salon.
