Tap water – turn on and drink!

Nothing special—no color, no taste, and it's so powerful! We're talking about water, of course, which we ourselves are largely made of and which is also necessary for the smooth functioning of every organism.
Water - the most important thing in our body
A person can survive for about a month without food, but only a week without water. This shows how incredibly important it is for the functioning of our organs. It enables our digestive system to function and our kidneys to filter out toxins. It also improves our appearance by hydrating our skin. When well hydrated, it is radiant and has a healthy complexion. Furthermore, it helps with joint function, as it acts as a filler that prevents bones from rubbing against each other. The benefits of water are endless, and we have surely experienced its importance firsthand. Whether on a hot day or after an intense workout, a glass of water seemed like the best thing that could happen to us.
Tap water has never been better
We are fortunate to live in a country where access to clean, running water is virtually unlimited. As if on cue, we turn on the tap and you can quench your thirst. Over the past 10 years, the condition of pipes and treatment systems has improved significantly. Numerous modernizations have meant that tap water is now safe to drink throughout Germany without boiling it. In older buildings, we recommend checking the water quality for old pipes. It is also not free of minerals. Calcium and magnesium can also be found in the tap, and their amounts depend on where we draw the water.
Save money, time and the environment
Think about how much you can save by drinking tap water. You can forget about buying heavy and bulky water bottles. It's also a huge money saver and, most importantly for us, a good step towards protecting the environment! That saves an average of 400 plastic bottles per person per year. However, if tap water blockage is still on your mind, try something in between. Pitchers, filter bottles, or shungite will capture anything you might fear in tap water. This is a slightly more expensive option, as you'll have to spend some money up front, but it's an investment that will have a positive impact on your wallet and the environment in the long run.
How do the neighbors do it?
In some countries, such as the UK, there is virtually no bottled water sold in cafes or restaurants. If you order it as a side dish, you can be sure that you won't pay a cent for it and that it comes from the tap. This is not surprising, because the water there is safe to drink without boiling and is readily used. In Poland, too, a campaign has been launched to encourage people to bring their own bottles and fill them when we are thirsty. It is especially useful to have a reusable bottle that goes with us everywhere.
